AlgaeBase is a global species database of information on all groups of algae, as well as one group of flowering plants, the sea-grasses.. AlgaeBase evolved from Michael Guiry's seaweed website, and has grown into a database of algae from throughout the world, and in freshwater, terrestrial, and brackish as well as marine habitats. Codium fragile subspecies tomentosoides is a dark green seaweed composed of erect, dichotomously branched fronds. These may be up to 1 m in length. The branches are round in cross section but may be flattened beneath dichotomies of branches. Title: AlgaeBase Type: Online taxonomic database About: a database of information on algae that includes terrestrial, marine and freshwater organisms Citation: Guiry Responses. The 15 response plots show an environmental variable (x axis) against the relative abundance (y axis) of Achnanthidium pyrenaicum from all the stream reaches where it was present.
